Cambridge festival adds more star power to line-up

Amidst the unveiling of additional performers for the upcoming Cambridge Club Festival this summer, luminaries from the realms of pop and dance take the spotlight.

Natasha Bedingfield, famed for her chart-topping Unwritten and These Words, is slated to grace the stage at Childerley Orchard, alongside the noteworthy German-Turkish DJ Mousse T.

An array of female artists has already been incorporated into the festival lineup, featuring the likes of Spice Girl Melanie C and the iconic vocalist Chaka Khan.

Scheduled between the 7th and 9th of June, this year’s festival extends its reach to the external realm.

Having experienced a notable surge in attendance, the festival, a relatively recent entrant to the scene, warmly welcomed a crowd of 25,000 in 2023.

Marking the 20th anniversary of Bedingfield’s Grammy Award-winning inaugural album, Unwritten, which boasts the eponymous hit track, the album has seen a resurgence in popularity, particularly after its inclusion in the film Anyone but You in December.

Taking the stage on the festival’s inaugural night alongside Mel C and Jessie Ware, Bedingfield’s musical prowess is poised to captivate the audience.

Sam Mellor, the head of marketing for The Cambridge Club, remarked, “Our ethos has always revolved around fostering a lively, euphoric ambiance – and there’s nothing quite like music infused with disco and dance elements to embody that sentiment.”

Adding to the festival’s allure are appearances by Rebecca Ferguson of X Factor acclaim, Soul II Soul, and the enchanting Gabrielle.
