The third edition of the Dubai Metro Music Festival kicks off on Monday, March 6 and is expected to draw crowds from the big cities.
The week-long Global Music Festival, from March 6-12, brings together some of the most innovative musicians representing a variety of music genres from the region and around the world.
From 16:00 to 22:00, an eclectic lineup of 20 musicians will perform at 5 Dubai Metro stations: Union, Mall of the Emirates, Burjuman, Dubai Financial Center and Soba Realty.
Passengers enjoy fascinating musical performances with rare strings (including recycled ones), percussion, woodwind, acoustic and other instruments.
The music festival is organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office (GDMO) in association with the Highways and Transport Authority (RTA).
Brand Dubai Director Shaima Al Suwaidi said the festival will bring together traditional and experimental musicians, classical instrumentalists and fusion musicians to entertain Dubai’s cosmopolitan community.
“One of the highlights of the ongoing Dubai Destination Campaign, the festival will serve as an international cultural hub, focusing on showcasing the extraordinary experiences, events and activities of #DubaiArtSeason. It reflects the rise of the city,” he said. she.
This year’s event will have a sustainability theme, with the United Arab Emirates declaring 2023 the “Year of Sustainability.”
